Hi there! We’re Ola Kala, and since 2007 we’ve been creating unforgettable culinary experiences through our hands-on cooking and baking classes. Every year, we host more than 400 events for the public, corporate teams, private groups, and travelers from all over the world. We care about every detail — from the quality of ingredients to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Good food, great company, and plenty of laughter are always part of the experience. During our classes, you’ll also enjoy a generous wine tasting. And as a little bonus? We offer three beautiful cooking studios in Prague, just a short walk from the city center — at least that’s what our guests tell us.

MEET YOUR CHEF

Our cooking classes are led by passionate, one-of-a-kind instructors who genuinely love meeting new people. Most of our Czech cuisine experiences are led by Chef Marek, whose professional journey has taken him around the world:

After 15 years helming five-star kitchens — from luxury hotels in London to “Top 50” restaurants in Mexico City and the Maldives — he returned to his roots. Having cooked for icons such as Mel Gibson, Diego Maradona, and 50 Cent, he now brings that same A-list precision to his first love: Czech cuisine. As a former Director of Culinary in Prague’s most prestigious hotels, Marek blends world-class technique with deep Czech heritage. Join him to discover how global expertise transforms traditional flavors into an unforgettable master-class experience.

Prefer something shorter? We also offer 2-hour workshop-style classes — perfect if you’d like a fun, relaxed culinary experience that fits easily into your travel schedule.

Description

Discover Czech classics reimagined as elegant sharing plates. Learn how to properly season steak tartare, master the South Bohemian technique of frying carp, and uncover the secret to perfectly crispy fried cheese. The session ends with a relaxed tasting of your own tapas board.

Description

Step into the world of traditional Czech baking in this sweet 2-hour workshop. Learn to make soft yeast dough from scratch and fill your koláčky with classic flavors like sweet farmer’s cheese, poppy seed, and plum jam. We’ll also show you how to create the perfect buttery crumble topping and decorate them the traditional way.
